Serves 6-8



  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 pound beef stew meat
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 sweet potato, peeled and cubed
  • 1 tsp chopped fresh ginger, chopped
  • 1 fresh jalapeno pepper, diced
  • 1 tbsp curry powder
  • 1 can (14.5 oz) diced tomatoes with juice
  • 1 onion sliced and quartered
  • 3/4 can (12 oz) Storm Day White IPA


Step 1 – Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium heat, and brown the beef on all sides

Step 2 – Remove the beef from skillet and season it with salt and pepper, reserve the juices from the skillet for later use

Step 3 – Cook and stir the garlic, ginger, sweet potatoes and jalapeno in the skillet for 2 minutes, until tender, and season with curry powder. Mix in the diced tomatoes and your reserved juices and simmer while mixing for 5 minutes

Step 4 –Place the onion in the bottom of a slow cooker, and layer with the browned beef

Step 5 – Scoop the skillet mixture into the slow cooker, and mix in Storm Day White IPA. Cover, and cook 6 to 8 hours on low
